Explain This!

No need to go to the gym when I can get my workout climbing ladders and stretching to dress swags.

No this is not a Dream. This is a nursery designed by interior designer Darcy Justen. The Drapery Shop made the bed skirt and bumper pads.

Isn't this unusual? There is no window in this bathroom, so "plan B"

I love this!

This is a mesh, chain link drape. Yes a metal curtain.

Guest House

This Client in Oak Hill Virginia has opened her home as a Bed and Breakfast.

This charming home is filled with beautiful toiles, lots of wallpaper and really pretty fabrics.

The fabric was custom designed by the client. The art is done on a computer program and then sent to the fabric printer in North Carolina

The Drapery Shop made the canopy, window treatments, headboard and bedding.

As you can see, each home has a unique style. After a short interview it's easy for me to interpret the style and create a design that's specific to each clients taste.

This A-symmetrical pole swag is perfectly pretty!

We help you select your fabric and then the treatment style. It's important that the fabric and choice of application are compatible.

Hire A Professional.

Both these rooms were created by design professionals and executed by The Drapery Shop. When you hire professionals you get complete harmony and coordination.

The Drapery Shop fabricated the window treatments and took the photos.

We should have hired a professional photographer.

Be sure to hire professionals to maximize the value of the money you spend. Hiring professionals will also insure that you do not waist money by having to do "Do Overs"

The Same - Yet Different

These 3 window Valances are the same, yet different. Each home has it's particular style, so each window treatment must meet the clients taste and objectives.

The goal was to create something Pretty and to not block much light.
Each client like swags but wanted to move away from the traditional standards.

This particular valance uses less fabric than other swagged styles.
The Drapery Shop can take 1 design and customize it 1000 ways.

This red valance was commissioned by Barbara Quast of Beese Quast Design.

Got French Doors?

Oh how pretty!
Anything is possible on a french door.
Each time we do this treatment we customize it to the homeowners particular taste and style.
This is the home of a Southern Bell who moved north. She was one of the friendliest women I have ever met

Mock Roman Shades. Save money by using less fabric and less labor.

Relaxed Romans.
We banded these shades with a plaid to create a frame for the toile.
