Relax and Take in the Morning Sun

Our client wanted to use this space to relax and take in the
morning sun.  We installed 2 Roman Shades and then placed the Arched Cornice over them.

We then added the window seat cushion
and bolster style pillows.

Those Corner Windows

Often a client will ask for creative ideas for corner windows.  Here are two.

Both jobs were fabricated and installed by The Drapery Shop

Celebrity Pillows $25.00 each.

Measure Twice, Cut Once, It's Gotta Fit..

It can be a bit challanging to fit a cornice in such a tight spot.  Look at how there is 3/4 of an inch on the left of this window and absolutly nothing on the right.  The return on the left side had to be 3 1/2" and the right side 2 1/2".  Of course all of this meant nothing to the designer and homeowner they simply wanted the cornice to fit.

Lynn's Lambrequins

Not many home owners are daring enough to commission lambrequines.
Lambrequins are cornices that frame the window on the sides as well as on the top.

The face fabric is a print and the sides are upholstered with a rust chenille.
Notice how the rust chenille is also covering the inside of the lambrequins legs.
You can see it there on the right.
The rust colored fabric is a nice compliment on the gold walls.  It really helps lift and separate the lambrequins from the walls.

We had to measure for a perfect fit.
It needed to touch the chair rail.

Jackie, the interior designer who hired me to build and cover the lambrequins currently resides in Williamsburg, VA and owns a furniture and design store there.

I loved working on this project!
